My Approach

My orientation is rooted in Buddhist and Contemplative Psychotherapy. I’ll assist you to build greater awareness of and compassion for your lived experiences. I utilize evidence-based trauma approaches such as EMDR to aid in relieving trauma responses and relate to life in a more adaptive way. I will teach you how to impliment self-soothing and grounding techniques so you can anchor yourself in the present moment.

Together, we will explore the feelings, physical sensations, beliefs and behaviors that are keeping you stuck in the past or grasping at the future.Through this work, you will be able to come back into contact with who you really are, underneath the layers of conditioning and internalized negative beliefs you're holding on to. With this direct and compassionate approach I’ve seen my clients release deep feelings of shame and inadequacy, shift out of depressive states, quiet anxious thoughts, gain stable and healthy relationships, and truly begin to accept themselves and the world around them again.
